This is a very nice range finder. It's simple and compact enough to fit in your vest pocket. The Nikon Archer's Choice offers inclination compensation but with today's flat shooting bows and after having used the ProStaff 550, I can't imagine that it makes much of a difference. Twenty yards from a 15' treestand is going to shoot the same as twenty yards from the ground. Although physics dictates that the arrow trajectory will be affected as elevation changes, it's not going to be very much when you are only shooting twenty to forty yards. My kill came at twenty yards, the ProStaff 550 ranged it at twenty yards and my twenty yard pin put the arrow right where it was supposed to. What more can you ask for in a rangefinder? The bonus of this rangefinder over the Archer's Choice is the additional yardage/range capabilities (The Archer's Choice only ranges up to a 100 yards).
